The Song in English Script:

Kothin loha kothin ghume chhilo ocheton, o tar, ghum bhangainu re.

Lokkho juger ondhokare chhilo shongopon,   ogo  tay jagainu re.

Posh menechhe hater toley    ja bolai shey temni boley—

Deergho diner mouno tahar aaj bhagainu re.

Ochol chhilo shochol hoye      chhutechhe oi jogot joye—

Nirbhoye aaj dui hate tar rush bagainu re.

The Song in English Translation:

The metal-iron in mighty slumber was insentient,      we woke it up.

In millions of year’s darkness,   it was hidden;    we roused it up.

A pet it is in our hand   speaks whatever   it’s made to learn—

A long haul          vow of silence     we shooed it away.

Inert it was    dynamic it is     racing to conquer the cosmos—

Unafraid   we pull on its reins   with both hands today.
