The Song in English Script:

Mori lo kar banshi nishibhore bajilo more prane

Phute digonte arunokiranokolika

Shoroter aalote shundor aashe

Dharonir aankhi je shishire bhashe

Hridoykunjobone munjorilo madhur shephalika

The Song in English Translation:

A flute, not known whose, plays in my core at dawn

When the tawny-ruddy sun blossoms on the horizon.

In the autumn light,      Beauty arrives,

Gaia is there with Her dewy eyes,

In the bower of my heart sweet Shefali* blooms too.

        A moment to die for….

*Night Jasmine or Coral Jasmine, an autumnal flower & a native to South and South East Asia

Translated by Sumana Roy

The Song is Here sung by Kanika Banerjee
