The Song In English Transliteration:

Aabar eshechhe ashard aakash chheye,

                         Aashe bristir subas baatas beye.

Ei puraton hridoy aamar aaji        pulake dulia uthichhe aabar baji

                      Nutan megher ghonimar pane cheye.

Rohia rohia bipul mather pare     nabo trinodale badoler chhaya pare.

Eshechhe eshechhe , ei katha bole pran,  eshechhe eshechhe  uthitechhe ei gaan

                   Noyonye eshechhe, hridoy eshechhe dheye.

The Song In English Translation:

Ashard* has arrived pervading the sky once again,

In the breeze wafts the sweet scent of rains.

This olden heart of mine     sways in delight and chimes

                   Watching the young clouds deepen.

On fresh new grass, in vast meadows   rain slowly casts its shadow.

‘It’s here’ trills life      ‘It’s here’ songs rise—

It pours into my eyes and into my heart in torrent.

*First month of the rainy season( Monsoon)
